All of Oath's tasks are unique and none of them are copy and paste
Obsidian Creative director Carrie Patel and game Director Gabe Paramo recently spoke to Windows Central about their work on the main and side quests.
The developers emphasize that the main and side quests in Oath will include many meaningful choices. Players have to make a lot of choices while playing, including side quests and even small pieces that are easy to miss.
According to Patel, Obsidian puts as much emphasis on side content as it does on main missions. "We want everything we put into the game to be worth the player's time," she says. Some of these tasks are longer, some are shorter, but they all make a difference. It's not just copy/paste, it's something that puts the player into the world and engages them."
Oath is rumored to release on November 12, 2024, but no official release date has been announced.
